Extra Life 2011 – Belmont Defiant

Hello all!

Thanks a ton to Trion and their awesome team who helped run such an awesome event! The Extra Life Defiant guild on Belmont had a blast throughout the event – just check out some of the pictures we have :)

03:00am server time: We’re slowly descending into madness…

06:00am server time: We can do this. 22 hours down LIKE A BOSS!

0:800am server time: Congratz to everyone, and thanks for all your help. Oh yeah, can’t forget that…

(Seriously though, more mead!)

We also have a number of events through out the night including…

We might have died once.. or twice.. there may have been mead involved, WHO KNOWS?! We did make it eventually though…

2011 California Meetup

What’s this? A trip?

Yep! Towards the end of this month I’ll be taking a week off and visiting some family & friends down in our lovely neighbour the US of A! Even better, they just to happen to live in the beautiful state of California – a bit north of San Francisco. So I thought to myself, “Hey.. I know a few people in that area! Maybe we should try to organize some time to meet up or something!” and thus this idea was born.

Hello World & Introduction

Hi! I’m Quinton, who are you?

As usual, I like to start everything off with a lovely “Hello World” post. It’s just a habit that I’ve picked up in the few times I’ve started writing a blog. This blog isn’t much now, though I hope to update it more than the others that I currently have. Maybe I’ll get a chance to cross-post things as well!

Back to the intro though, my name’s Quinton and I’m currently a student working on my Computer Science degree. As for anything more specific? Still beats me! The range of possible jobs seems quite large, so I’m still not sure where I’d like to settle.

I’ve bounced between thinking about Community Management type positions, Web Design/Development, Game-something-or-other, and a number of other thoughts. I do know I want to go into something that will be interesting and changing. Who wants to do the same thing over and over?
